I can't say enough about Dr. Manuel and her staff. I have been seeing her for 2+ years and have sent two people (One of them being my mom) to her practice. My mom had a dental emergency on a Saturday and Connie came in to help her. THAT is great service!
They are kind, caring and gentle. There is no way I would see anyone else for my dental needs.

Connie has a great crew of super competent and pleasant dental professionals. Parking is easy in a great neighborhood. I look forward to my visits and always come away with happy clean teeth, a goodie bag of dental care products, a latte and a warm cookie. Today i watched Oprah and Ellen kibitzing on the tv above my head while I got my teeth thoroughly deglazed and polished. What more could I want?

I have been seeing Dr. Connie Manuel for 12 + years and highly recommend her practice to anyone. They are professional, prompt, have state of the art equipment like digital x-ray, water teeth cleaning, audio and video for those who like distraction during sessions, etc. They also emphasize preventative care and assist you in developing your own best home practices. Best of all, they put you at ease and make your dental experience almost enjoyable.

It was time to change dentists after 20+ years with another. My husband was one of Connie's patients, as was one of my coworkers. I am not at all disappointed that I switched. Not only is it very convenient, but I love the staff. It's a small practice, and I like that. When my husband had an extraction that caused him some post-procedural pain, Connie called him from her vacation not once, but twice, to see how he was doing. I am delighted with the care we both receive at Espresso Dental!

I have visited Dr. Manuel's practice for over 8 years after having neglected my teeth and gums for the previous 8 years. Dr. Manuel and staff did a great job getting my teeth and gums back into healthy condition with new fillings, root planing, a crown and lots of training on my home home care routine. The office is friendly and well equipped with new technology, and you are always offered TV, goggles and headphones while you're in the chair.
I appreciate the fact that the staff takes extra time to educate patients on the best way to care for their teeth at home, and their lessons always stick.
The overall experience is always so relaxing that I practically fall asleep in the chair, which says a lot when you consider the anxiety most people experience when at the dentist. It's like treating yourself to a good massage . . . except in this case it's your gums getting the rubbing.

If Buddha could choose a dentist today, Espresso Dental would be on the short list. Having been blessed with strong teeth and cursed with a fear and loathing of all past dentists, I was persuaded to try Espresso Dental.
My conclusion? If you fear, loathe, dislike or just avoid dentists for any reason, this is the place to go. Friendly staff who explain what is being done, what needs to be done, and the do it quickly, quietly and efficiently. TV is provided as a diversion in the main chair, but I prefer the view of the Japanese Garden out the back window. I feel so relaxed here that I fall asleep while dental procedures are done. Highly recommended as a cure for the dental-phobic among you. Added bonus are the fresh cookies and espresso offered to patients while waiting. If all the dentists in Seattle were like Espresso Dental, we'd all have perfect teeth and smile about it.

I've been going to Espresso Dental since 1998. At first I was looking for something different - something besides the sterile-type of dental office environment. The moment I walked into the inviting lobby, I was greeting with a warm atmosphere, a fire in the fireplace, and an offer of... An Espresso drink while I waited! What a treat.
Dr. Manuel and her staff are fun, experienced, give excellent referrals when I need additional work. My appointments fly by with flat screen TV's, comfortable chairs, state of the art equiment and a fun staff. The care I receive at Espresso Dental is constantly superior, and I trust them to give me the care I need. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and look forward to my appointments!

Forced to seek emergency dental assistance ten years ago, I found myself in the Espresso Dental chair. Dr Manuel and her assistants provided me with quick, surprisingly painless relief. Right away I liked their approach - they're cheerful, matter-of-fact and helpful, never pushy or judgmental. I'm sure they knew I didn't need or want a lecture. :) I also liked the casual atmosphere. The technology is all there, but so is a nice big window overlooking a peaceful garden. Despite my (former) dental phobia I returned to establish a regular care routine.
A few faces of Dr Manuel's 'gang' have changed over the years, but not their friendliness and competency. They're all approachable, and most attentive. Also remaining constant is the attention to details such as special billing needs, insurance plan restrictions, referrals and appointments. I thank a cracked molar for getting me into the Espresso Dental chair, and I thank the Espresso Dental gang for helping me lose my Dental Phobia.

I have been going to Dr. Manuel for about three years now and my twelve year old daughter is a patient as well. I've moved dentists as I felt my previous overcharged. I have had a significant amount of dental work from a very young age and very anxious about being in the dentist chair and rather embarrassed about it. Dr. Manuel's office is comfortable and relaxed and her demeanor is friendly and very warm. The last time I was there, I actually nodded off while they were drilling on my teeth! The addition of her new very capable front desk manager at least a year ago has resolved paperwork issues. I'm not sure how this is considered a gimmicky office, Dr. Manuel offers pretty much what any other dentist does based on what the market requires and what makes her patients comfortable.

I have been a patient of Dr Connie's at Espresso Dental for over 10 years and have been a more than satisfied customer the entire time. The extras are great, but most important is what they represent: Connie and her staff's commitment to really taking care of the patient. The office is bright, comfortable and relaxing and the staff always friendly, attentive and knowlegable. They do everything they can to make going to the dentist a pleasant experience. No small feat! And this includes adopting new technologies that ensure less discomfort to the patient. Connie and her staff's commitment to heatlth and preventative care helped me turn around what was becoming a serious gum problem, so that now I pretty much just go in for maintenance. The flexible hours mean that I don't have to take time off work. Also, my appoinments have always started right on time: a sure sign of a well organized office. In the couple of times I've had an urgent issue I've always been accomodated promtly. Plus I have never had an issue with billing or with my insurance claims. Based on my experience I could not give this office less than 5 stars. Highly recommended!

I have been a very satisfied patient of Dr. Connie Manuel's since she bought this practice from my previous dentist. I love the friendly and supportive atmosphere and the interest all of the staff show in me. I've had crowns, fillings, and preventive care over these years and have always felt that I was in good hands. I was specifically helped in navigating the whole process of a tooth implant. That included helping me decide what to do and connecting me with the UW Dental School for an affordable way to do this procedure. (By the way I cannot say enough good things about the state-of-the-art care I received from graduate students at the UW.) I wholeheartedly recommend Connie and her staff for dental care.

I have had 'dental anxiety' all my life, and once I had insurance and could afford to have work done, I kept finding dentists who would nag me and make me feel ashamed. With Dr. Manuel, there was no nagging, no shame. She is kind and professional, and every single staff member is friendly and welcoming. The office is in an older home that has been rennovated in the Greenwood-Phinney neighborhood of Seattle, and it is charming. It is also across the street from Mill Burgers!

I love this place! I've been going for years and recommend them all the time. People are friendly, but not obnoxiously so, and even though I'm only there two times a year, my hiegenist and dentist remember things about my personal life. And to top it all off, there is an espresso machine in the office and they'll give you an espresso while you wait. I know it sounds crazy, but it's true! Espresso Dental definitely makes going to the dentist a positive experience!
I've been a patient at Espresso Dental since before Dr. Manuel purchased the parcatice in 1996. She effectively transitioned my care, and I have had exceedingly good care since that time, despite a number of dental challenges. Connie has provided excellent stanadard and preventitive services, as well as the more involved work I have occaisionally needed, and has been immediately available on the few occaisions I have required emergency or after-hours care. Her staff are well-trained, friendly and professional. I've referred friends often.
I've been a patient of Dr. Manuel for over ten years and have had only good experiences thoughout a long saga of dental work (broke my front two teeth and ultimately ended up with implants). Connie and her staff are all highly professional and they're up on the latest technology and medical knowledge. Ignore the espresso machine in the corner and the plate of cookies, this is a top notch practice for either maintenance or major work.
I have been seeing them for about six years for dental. I really do like her. She is fast and gentle. She is very responsive and really takes care of you. Her staff is very professional and her office is comfortable and clean.
I've been going to Espresso dental since 1999. I've referred other friends and family over the years, and they have continued to receive dental care there as well. Connie Manuel is a great dentist and has always seemed prudent and accurate in her assessment of my future dental needs. I love that this is a small practice in a converted bungalow with semi-private treatment areas. Street parking is pretty easy. Everybody knows your name. It's been easy for me to get in for urgent appointments. The receptionist has worked diligently to make sure my insurance billing was all good, and has coordinated referrals and appointments for me with endontists and other specialists when needed. I've never felt like Connie or her team were trying to rush my appointments or pressure me to buy unecessary gimmicks or treatments.
I've been seeing Dr. Connie Manuel there for about four years now and recently took my daughter there also. In all that time I've received nothing but caring, compassionate, first-rate dental care. Dr. Manuel is easily the best dentist I've ever had - I love her! And her staff are uniformly warm and professional. I've never had any billing problems nor concerns that I'm being wrongly diagnosed and prescribed "unnecessary" treatments. (And, no, I've never had my teeth whitened.) Go see for yourself...
Dr. Manuel is part of the Espresso Dental Practice, a hip and fun dentists' office (and you probably didn't think there was such a thing). When you arrive, they offer you the hot beverage of your choice (thus the "espresso" part of the name). Dr. Manuel and her female colleagues firmly believe in providing dental services without pain, and they truly care about making sure their patients are comfortable. They have made me feel at ease when getting check-ups and fillings.
We've gone to Espresso Dental (Connie Manuel) for years -- I like Connie a lot.
I happen to be pretty fond of my dentist–what caffiene junky wouldn’t love a mild-mannered lady who operates out of an office called Espresso Dental at which one is offered coffee and cookies?
Dr. Manuel is skilled, kind and personable, works well with her staff, has high work quality standards, is up to date with technology, and good at keeping procedures as short, painless and stress-free as possible.
She never ignores or forgets her patient, says what she's doing and why; answers questions and allows patient breaks. Though offering full dental care, including cosmetic procedures, she has never pushed me to have any unnecessary work done. She has repaired damage by others; monitors my ongoing dental health, recommending and referring as appropriate. Moderately expensive, but Dr. M & front desk know my dental insurance and work to keep costs down, and get the best care for my needs within its limits whenever possible. I have extraordinarily sensitive teeth; historically required numbing for the simplest procedures. Never have I been made uncomfortable about my nervousness or pain threshold by Dr. M or her staff. Excellent referral to specialist for tooth extraction & implant. Dr. Manuel put in final crown. Amazingly, a positive experience. Patients leave checkups with bags of dental care products. It is clear that Dr. Manuel is committed to helping her patients gain and retain healthy mouths for a lifetime.
About Hygienist: Several different hygienists have worked on me over the years at Espresso Dental. All who have worked on me have been careful of my extreme tooth sensitivity, and never made me feel uncomfortable or that they were inconvenienced by it. All staff at Espresso Dental have been professional, skilled and thorough, never rushing, but getting each procedure done as quickly as feasible. Very polite and observant, informative with their observations and recommendations.
Dr. Manuel is easygoing, yet direct and to the point regarding my dental hygiene and what options I had for care. Obviously, I had to trust what she was doing in my mouth, but none of my restorations have since failed, and I appreciated the confidence with which she went about her work.
Connie has been my dentist since she bought the previous practice, Espresso Dental. She's gentle, professional, and runs a tight ship.
